Importing from FreshBooks
Migrate your clients from FreshBooks to Daybook.
Exporting from FreshBooks
- Log in to your FreshBooks account
- Go to Clients
- Click the gear icon (⚙️)
- Select Export to CSV
- Save the file to your computer
Importing to Daybook
- In Daybook, go to Settings → Import
- Click Upload CSV
- Select FreshBooks as the source (auto-maps columns)
- Upload your exported file
- Review the mapping
- Click Import

When you select FreshBooks as source, columns auto-map:

Tips
- Export active clients only for cleaner import
- Import clients before invoices
- Review imported data for accuracy
Troubleshooting
Missing company names
FreshBooks separates client name and organization. Both are imported - check the Company Name field.
Phone numbers formatted differently
Daybook standardizes phone number format during import. Numbers are preserved, formatting may change.
