Login Problems
Can't log in to Daybook? Here are solutions for common login issues.
Forgot Password
- Go to app.hellodaybook.com
- Click Forgot Password
- Enter your email address
- Check your email for reset link
- Click the link and set a new password
Check Spam
Password reset emails sometimes go to spam. Check there if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Magic Link Not Working
If you use magic link login:
Link Expired
Magic links expire after 15 minutes. Request a new one:
- Go to the login page
- Enter your email
- Click Send Magic Link
- Check email and click immediately
Link Already Used
Each magic link works only once. Request a new link if needed.
Wrong Browser
Magic links open in your default browser. If you clicked from a work email, it may have opened in a restricted browser.
"Account Not Found"
This error means no account exists for that email. Check:
- Correct spelling of email address
- You're using the email you signed up with
- Try other email addresses you might have used
If you're sure you have an account, contact support.
"Too Many Attempts"
For security, accounts lock after multiple failed login attempts.
Wait 15 minutes and try again with the correct password.
If you've forgotten your password, use the password reset option.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) Issues
Lost Authenticator Access
If you lost access to your authenticator app:
- Use a backup recovery code (if you saved them)
- Contact support with proof of identity
Code Not Working
Make sure:
- Your phone's time is accurate (enable automatic time)
- You're using the code before it expires (30 seconds)
- You're using the correct account in your authenticator app
Browser Issues
Clear Cache and Cookies
- Clear your browser cache
- Clear cookies for hellodaybook.com
- Try logging in again
Try Incognito/Private Mode
Open an incognito window and try logging in. If this works, a browser extension may be interfering.
Try a Different Browser
If Chrome isn't working, try Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Mobile App Issues
For the Daybook PWA on mobile:
- Clear app data: Delete and reinstall from home screen
- Update browser: Ensure Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) is updated
- Check connection: Ensure you have internet access
Account Locked
Accounts may be locked for:
- Security concerns
- Billing issues
- Terms of service violations
