Adding Team Members
Invite team members to help manage your Daybook account. Available on Team plan.
Requirements
- Team plan subscription ($49/month includes 5 seats)
- Additional seats: $9/user/month (up to 10 total)
Inviting a Team Member
- Go to Settings → Team
- Click Invite Member
- Enter their email address
- Select their role (Admin, Member, or Viewer)
- Click Send Invite
The person receives an email to create their account and join your team.
Team Roles
| Role | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Everything except billing. Can manage team members. |
| Member | Create/edit invoices, clients, projects. Can't manage team. |
| Viewer | View-only access. Can't create or edit anything. |
Role Details
Admin
- Full access to all features
- Invite and remove team members
- Change member roles
- View all reports and analytics
- Cannot access billing settings
Member
- Create, edit, and send invoices
- Manage clients and projects
- Track time and expenses
- Cannot invite team members
- Cannot view team settings
Viewer
- View invoices, clients, projects
- View reports
- Cannot create or edit anything
- Useful for accountants or partners who need visibility
Managing Team Members
Change Role
- Go to Settings → Team
- Find the team member
- Click their role dropdown
- Select new role
Remove Member
- Go to Settings → Team
- Find the team member
- Click Remove
- Confirm removal
Removed members lose access immediately.
Pending Invitations
Invitations expire after 7 days. To resend:
- Go to Settings → Team
- Find the pending invitation
- Click Resend or Cancel
Seat Management
Team plan includes 5 seats. To add more:
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Add Seats
- Select number of additional seats ($9/month each)
- Confirm
Maximum: 10 team members total.
Common Questions
Can team members see billing?
No. Only the account owner can access billing settings and payment methods.
Can I have multiple admins?
Yes. You can have multiple admins on your team.
What happens when I remove someone?
They lose access immediately. Their work (invoices, clients they created) remains in the account.
